NEW DELHI, Aug 7: Reacting strongly over the statement of Hurriyat Chief, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in which he has rejected Homeland demand of Kashmiri Pandits and urged them to return to their respective homes in the Valley, Kashmir Pandit Conference (KPC) has replied that Homeland demand was raised by the KPs only after their co-existence was challenged in the Valley and also after becoming victim of separatist politics and Muslims fundamentalism in Kashmir.
Speaking in a meeting of his party activists, KPC chief, Kundan Kashmiri stated that KPs fully understand the duplicity of the fundamentalists. He further said that before calling KPs back to Kashmir, has Hurriyat leadership given a thought to the fact whether they are in a commanding position to protect their (KPs) life and property, can they bring back the hey days of peace, love and tranquility, can they return the land and property to KPs which has been either looted, burnt, encroached, snatched or sold out under distress sale…. can they allow KPs to live as per their own will and choice in the valley as free Indian nationalists.
He further lambasted the statement of Mirwaiz and stated that one side he is inviting KPs to Valley and at the other hand stressing for resolution of Kashmir on their dictates and struggling for seceding Kashmir from India which denies the place for KPs in the Valley.
KPC Chief stated that Kashyap Homeland for KPs is a genuine and justified demand and is in the interest of the State in particular to KP minorities which does not want to get again humiliated and bulldozed by the fundamentalist majority.
