KPC reiterates one place settlement of Pandits

JAMMU, Sept 9: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) while expressing satisfaction over Narendra Modi’ and J&K UT Government’s decision for starting process of confidence building measure in respect of displaced KPs in the Valley by naming some institutes and schools in the name of two prominent Kashmiri Pandits and launching a portal for displaced KPs has however reiterated one place settlement of KPs in Kashayp land.
Kashmiri said launching of portal for submitting the grievances related to distress sale, encroachment, trespassing and tampering of their revenue records of left out land and property in the Valley in 1990 and onwards, has generated lot of hope in Pandits over Modi Government and he showed confidence that miseries and injustice meted out to the Kashmir Pandits from the last 32 years and earlier too would end now.
Kashmiri and MK Raina, president and vice president KPC stated no doubt these measures would give much relief to victim displaced KPs, but this can not be the final solution of their permanent settlement , and hoped Modi Government would now give final shape of one place settlement for KPs in the Valley as per their wishes and aspirations which is only viable solution for permanent rehabilitation of exiled KP community. They said otherwise any return move will be futility.
KPC leaders including Tej Pandita and Dr. HL Saraf, its vice president and general secretary demanded that one institution and one bridge on Jhelum river in Srinagar be named in the name Late Amar Nath Vaishnavi,and late Tika Lal Taploo while one college in Anatnag be named after Pt Prem Nath Bhat who have given their life for protecting the sovereignty of the nation and served the mankind.
