KPC for unity among Pandit organizations

JAMMU, June 12: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has appealed the members of entire Pandit community to come on a single platform and struggle for its rights unitedly.
The KPC president Kundan Kashmiri has made an appeal to leaders of KP organizations including ASKPC, KPC, AIKPC, PK. AIKS, KSD, RIK, VM, APMCC and other organizations to come on a joint platform and launch a united struggle for the rights of the community.
Kashmiri said that community is passing through very critical period of history and it has suffered a tremendous loss due to the turmoil as hundreds of its members were done to death, properties torched and looted by the militants and their supporters who forced the community to lead an exiled life.
Kashmiri said in order to fight the forces who are inimical to community cause and who were responsible for its mass exodus and deprived it of the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution, the entire community should come at a single platform and fight for the greater cause, seek justice for those families who lost their nears and dares and who are leading an exiled life for last 26 years.
He said the need of hour is to launch a decisive battle by the community members who have taken refuge in Jammu or other parts of country so that the goal is achieved. He said community has a wise leadership and they should come on a single platform and evolve a consensus on issues like rehabilitation, temples and shrines bill, employment package, economic package, settlement of demands of overaged youth and many other issues facing the community so that a message is conveyed in the power corridors that Pandits are not a divided but a united lot and they won’t compromise on certain principals dare to them and which are a hall mark to strengthen national unity and integrity. Such a stand will silence those voices who are creating a confusion over Pandits unity.
