KPC asks GoI to clear stand on one place settlement of Pandits

JAMMU, Oct 23: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has expressed the hope that Home Minister, Amit Shah will clear Government’s stand on one place settlement of displaced KPs in the Valley during his ongoing visit to J&K as being demanded by KPC.
In a statement issued here, today , KPC president, Kundan Kashmiri and vice president, Tej Pandita said that the recent incidents of terrorism have shown that Pandits can’t be rehabilitated at transit accommodations and their one place settlement in Kashyap State within Valley has become imperative where the writ of the community runs large and they can live without any threat or fear.
The KPC leaders urged Amit Shah to clear his stand over “one place resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits at the land of Kashyap in Valley which is the long pending demand of   Kashmiri Pandits as construction of various clusters for the residence of displaced PM package employees families in the Valley, that too in half way, is not only the way out and solution of the problem for all the four lakh hounded out KPs from Kashmir in 1990 who are still peripatetic across the country.
KPC also invited attention of Amit Shah towards PM package employees who need to be adjusted in safer zones of Jammu and overaged displaced youths to be given  financial benefits at present locations  besides unemployed KP youths be adjusted in different Central Government offices outside the Valley.
