JAMMU, Apr 13: Taking serious exception to Relief Organisation’s recent order of issuing the ration coupons on monthly basis to displaced relief holders from Valley, various Kashmiri Pandit organisations demanded immediate revocation of the order and continuance of previous arrangement.
The KP organisations warned that in case Relief Organisation fails to revoke the order by tomorrow the Displaced Pandit bodies will be left with no option but to come on streets and stage a massive protest on Monday.
Kuldeep Kashmiri, working president All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC), Sunil Pandita social activist, Ravinder Koul president over aged relief holders, Ashwani social activist, Sunil Fotedar, president, Vision Kashmir, MK Raina, general secretary AIKPC, in a joint statement termed the order as draconian to put the migrant relief holders to unnecessary harassment and humiliation.
They said instead of solving the long standing problem of rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits the Government though such draconian order was adding to the problems of the displaced people which will not be allowed at any cost.
They, while terming it a grave injustice demanded immediate revocation of the order. They said despite our earnest appeals of reverting the order and issuing coupons on yearly basis, the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner has turned a deaf ear to the same and ignored the community’s plight. They said on Monday April 15 displaced people from Valley will hold a massive protest in front of Relief Organisation for settling this genuine issue.
