SRINAGAR, Oct 31: After conducting four-day tour of Leh and Kargil districts of Ladakh region, BJP State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul reached here today to take stock of the Party’s Organizational and political activities there. He was also joined at Srinagar by BJP State vice-president & Kashmir Prabhari Ramesh Arora.
Ashok Koul chaired a meeting of all the district office bearers and prominent activists of all the 46 Assembly constituencies and sought details about the constitution of booths level committees besides programmes on various issues taken up. Later, he also chaired meeting of Core Group of Kashmir, wherein threadbare discussions were held to chalk out future prorammes on issues which are directly affecting the common masses across the Valley.
Mr Koul, while addressing the meetings, said that the BJP activists are working in very odd conditions and during the last few years, the Party has reached entire length and breadth of Kashmir and the credit goes to our local leaders and activists. It is indeed our great achievement that BJP has been successful in making the people of Kashmir to understand the pro-people, pro-state and pro-nation policies and programmes of the Party.
Ramesh Arora, expressed hope that party will also register victory in Kashmir as and when elections are held.
State vice-president G.M. Mir, senior leader Sofi Yousuf, Dr. Ali Mohd. Mir, Ghulam Nabi Dar, Desh Kumar, M.M. War, Altaf Thakur, Haleema Begam, Mushtaq Noorbadi, Ashraf Azad, Ashiq Dar and others also attended these meetings.
