MENDHAR, Jan 10: With the burning of transformer in Kottan, Lower Ari in Mendhar area of Poonch district the consumers are without power for the last many days.
People of the area who are facing lot of difficulties due to non availability of light during these days when their children are taking examinations, are repeatedly approaching the senior PDD officers but are feeling helpless.
A local resident Tariq Khan said that PDD officers have not given proper attention to their problem and they are being forced to agitate and block the roads etc.
The villagers appealed to the Chief Engineer PDD and Executive Engineer Poonch to issue instructions PDD staff to immediately replace the burnt transformers and provide relief to the consumers.
