RAJOURI, Sept 17: The vital Kotranka–Khawas road has remained closed for the past ten days after a portion of the road caved in at Badhaal village, cutting off connectivity between Khawas tehsil areas and Kotranka sub-division.
The closure has also led to the blockade of link roads including Keri Bhela and Dhaleri, leaving thousands of residents stranded and facing difficulties in their daily lives.
As highlighted by senior People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mohammad Farooq Inqlabi, over 3,000 people are suffering due to the disruption. Essential supplies such as LPG and ration have not been provided, and patients are facing serious problems in getting medical care.
He urged the district administration to take immediate measures to restore road connectivity, ensure the supply of essentials, and provide relief to the affected population.
