Kohli, others pay tributes to Wazir Mohammed Hakla

POONCH, Apr 26: A seminar was held on the life and working of veteran Gujjar leader “late Ch.Wazir Mohd.Hakla” at Poonch today.
Minister of Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Abdul Ghani Kohli was the chief guest on the occasion.
In the seminar prominent scholar and intellectual K D Maini, Karamdeen Chopra and M K Waqar presented papers on works of Wazir Mohd. Hakla for his contribution to the welfare of Gujjar Bakerwal community.
In this seminar District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch- Haroon Malik, SSP Poonch-Rajeev Pandey and Commander of 93  Infantry Brigade- A S Pendharkar, prominent Gujjar leader of the  State- Shamsher Hakla Poonchi, Munshi Khan Choudhary, retired Deputy Director General Door Darshan- Ch Salam Din Bajjar, Prominent writer – M N Queshi, K K Kapoor, Professor Musharraf Shah,
Sikander Hayat Tariq Sahib,  Ch. Haqnawaz Sahib, Editor Cultural Officer of J&K Cultural Academy- Shahnawaz Choudhary, Alambardar Hussain Shah were also present and shared their views about Wazir Mohd Hakla. They also paid tributes for his contributions to the nation.
On this occasion Shamsher Hakla Poonchi son of late Gujjar leader appealed to the Gujjar Bakerwal community of J&K to work for strengthening of communal harmony and integration of the nation.
Speaking in the seminar Abdul Ghani Kohli said that late Ch.Wazir Mohd.Hakla  played  main role for educational, social ,economical, political upliftment of Gujjar Bakerwal community and  he was the first person to start the moment for ST status for Gujjar Bakerwals of J&K.
