RAJOURI, Oct 27: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli today conducted extensive tour of various villages in Kalakote constituency and took stock of several developmental works in these areas besides redressed people’s problems.
During his tour, the Minister inaugurated Tatapani to Upper Gujjran Karnar road constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 45 lakh.
On the occasion, the Minister directed the concerned to work with utmost dedication and speed up the pace of work on all ongoing developmental works and complete them in a stipulated time frame. He also asked them to conduct survey of the Constituency and identify the habitations which do not have road connectivity and asked them to prepare Detailed Project Reports in this pursuit and submit the same to the concerned quarters for necessary approval and arrangement of funds.
During the tour to village Ranthal Kolekabu, the people of the area put forth their problems and grievances which include construction of lanes, drains, culverts, protection bunds and sanctioning of scholarships. The Minister gave them patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. In some cases, the Minister gave on the spot directions to the concerned for early redressal of the projected issues.
Interacting with the people, the Minister said that the Government is committed to upgrade the living standard of the people of the State. He said several flagship programmes have been launched in the State with the aim to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people.
