Kohli convenes public grievances redressal camp

POONCH, Dec 4: Minister for Animal & Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli, today convened a joint meeting of public and officers to assess the public grievances besides taking stock of development works being executed in the area.
The Minister took stock of people’s grievances and issued necessary instructions to concerned departments for an early redressal to the same.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that the Government is making all efforts to ensure transparency and accountability at all levels for hassle free services to the people. He said that strict instructions have been given to the officers to leave no stone unturned on account of extending enhanced basic amenities to the people with focus on rural and hilly parts of the State. No laxity would be tolerated in this regard, he maintained.
The Minister emphasized the need of putting in place an effective mechanism for monitoring of all ongoing developmental works so that these could be completed in a time bound manner. The prime concern of every officer and official should be to ensure that the people get all necessary services in a total convenient and time bound manner for which the Government is always determined. This will enable the government realize the vision of making J&K a model State, he asserted.
Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsildar Mendhar, BDOs, SDPO Mendhar, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Executive Engineers of PWD, PDD, AD fisheries and other officials were also present in the meeting.
