Kohli convenes public grievance redressal camp

Jammu, May 4: Minister for Sheep and Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli  today convened a  public grievance redressal camp   at Chingus Sarai, Rajouri and took stock of the problems of the people.
People from different villages put forth their demands and grievances before the Minister which were mainly related to provision of safe drinking water, road connectivity, replacement of old water supply pipes and electric poles for strengthening the existing infra of PHE & PDD and shortage of staff in different departments. People of the area also demanded sheep, veterinary and poultry centres in the area.
Kohli assured that adequate steps will be taken to provide better amenities to the people. He said with the active support of people the institutions of governance at ground level are being strengthened as the Government is committed to provide transparent and accountable governance to the people.
The Minister exhorted upon the people to come forward and avail the benefits of state and central sponsored schemes which are designed to meet the aspirations of the people. He also appealed the educated unemployed youth to avail the benefits of various schemes for establishing their income and employment generating units.
Later, the Minister visited the dispensary of Sheep Husbandry at Potha in Kalakote and took stock of its functioning. He directed the concerned for proper and adequate medical facility to the livestock of the area.
He also interacted with the nomads who are moving towards higher reaches with their livestocks and took stock of the facilities being provided by the department. He exhorted upon the functionaries to ensure adequate medicare facilities are provided to these nomads for their livestock.
