DUBAI: Indian skipper Virat Kohli has climbed to fifth spot in the in the latest ICC Test Rankings for batsman while all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has slided to third spot.
Kohli is one spot above Warner, after he scored his 50th international century during the first match of the three-Test series against Sri Lanka in Kolkata. The Indian skipper stands firm at top in both T20Is and ODIs.
Opener Shikhar Dhawan has improved two places standing at 28th spot, while pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has moved eight places up to his career best of 29th and Mohammad Shami has climbed up one spot above to 18th. India is on top of the table with 125 points, while South Africa stands at second with 111 points.
In the team rankings, Australia who are placed at 5th spot will surpass England, if they win the Ashes by a margin of 2-0 or better and could even go up to third position if they can complete a 5-0 series washout. England who are placed third if they fetch 110 points with 5-0 win, then Australia will further slide to sixth spot. (AGENCIES)
