SHIMLA: The ban on exit polls on the November 9 Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh was extended till December 14 on Tuesday by the Election Commission of India.
The ban would continue till December 14 up to 1730 hrs — the final phase of Assembly elections in Gujarat, a spokesman for the election department said here.
The spokesman said the poll watchdog in a notification has prohibited conducting any exit poll, publishing or publicising by means of print, electronic media and dissemination in any manner the result of exit poll for Himachal Vidhan Sabha election-2017 up to 1730 hrs on December 14, 2017.
No agency would be allowed to publish and telecast any such poll during this period. (AGENCIES)
