KISHTWAR, Dec 9: Young students from Kishtwar district today left for South India  tour,  organized by Delta Force as an educational/ motivational trip under the Operation Sadbhavana.
Students of age group ranging from 14-18 years will be trotting across South Indian cities of Trivendrum, Ooty, Coimbatore and Bangalore.
The tour is aimed to highlight the importance of national integration and general awareness amongst the students from this remote area of J&K.
The group will be visiting various exotic locations like Nayyar Dam and Wildlife Sanctuary, Kovalam Beach and Priyadarshini Space Planetarium at Trivandrum.  In addition, visit is also planned for Madras Regimental Centre for witnessing the famous martial arts of South India called Kalaripayattu. A group of singers has also been moved with the tour to represent the Sufi culture of Jammu and Kashmir.  The students will return to Kishtwar on  December 21  after visiting Trivandrum, Ooty and  Rashtrapati Bhavan on its way back.
The flagging off ceremony was attended by Basheer Ahmed Khan, DC Kishtwar, Sanjay Kotwal, SP Kishtwar, Pawan Jaisawal, IB Kishtwar,  Arvind Bhatt, GM NHPC, parents of students and other dignitaries.
