KISHTWAR, Apr 28: Kishtwar Campus today organized a seminar on the topic `Merits and Demerits of Information Technology’.
Students of IT, Geology and Kashmiri Department participated in the seminar, which was presided over by Professor Shohab Inayat Malik, Director Kishtwar Campus while Mohd Naseer- ul-Haq, Dr Kuldeep Kumar and Imtiyaz Ahmed also graced the presidium.
Two detailed papers were presented on the topic by Mohd Naseer -ul-Haq working as In- charge Department of IT & Dr Kuldeep Kumar, Incharge Department of Geology (Hydrology and Science Dynamics) in which they unveiled and discussed the various advantages and disadvantages of information technology regarding digital services, time management, research sharing, optimization of resources, digital divide, gender discrimination, cyber crime and terrorism, values and ethics, environmental and health degradation, rise of new social, legal and economic issues and their merits and demerits.
An interactive session was also held in which students asked various questions.
