REASI, Oct 27: Reasi Police arrested two brothers, who are accused of kidnapping and rape and had been absconding for the last 19 years since commission of the crime.
Accused Abdul Rashid and his brother Makhna, sons of Miyan Khariyan, resident of Bernaili Thilloo, Tehsil Mahore, Reasi, were absconding in case FIR Number 136/2002, under Section 366, 376, 343 RPC of Police Station Mahore.
They are accused of kidnapping a woman and repeatedly raping her in custody in the year 2002. During investigations, the case was proved and chargesheet was produced against the accused brothers in the court of law in the year 2003.
However, both of them were evading arrest by disguising and changing locations. Court of Additional Sessions Judge Reasi had issued a General Warrant of Arrest against them on 10/09/2004.
