JAMMU, Mar 27: Gharota police arrested a kidnapper, who was evading his arrest for the past few days.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gharota police station conducted raid and arrested a kidnapper.
The accused has been identified as Rajinder Kumar, son of Kartar Chand, a resident of Kot, tehsil Bhalwal.
He had kidnapped a minor girl hailing from same area, who was recovered and restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
A case under FIR Number 12/16 under Section 363 RPC stands registered against the accused at Gharota police station and further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gharota police station Inspector Rakesh Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Gurvinder Pal Singh and Additional SP Rural Arun Gupta.
