Kidnapped woman recovered from Mumbai, accused held

JAMMU, Apr 30: Police today recovered a woman kidnapped from Gole Panj Peer under the jurisdiction of Pouni Chak police post in Domana area from Bandra in Mumbai and arrested the kidnapper.
The 22 years old woman had gone to market on November 28, 2012 but didn’t return after which her parents and husband lodged a missing report with Pouni Chak police post.
SDPO Domana Sandeep Mehta said a team headed by Sub Inspector Sukhbir Singh was constituted to trace the missing woman.
After hectic efforts for several months, police traced the woman from Sonawali, Bandra in Mumbai and arrested the kidnapper identified as Hartinder Dogra alias Happy son of Surinder Dogra R/o Dogra Hall, Jammu.
The kidnapper has been brought to Jammu, where a case has already been registered against him at Domana police station. The woman was restored to her family after medical examination.
