RAMBAN, Mar 2: A woman kidnapped from village Sumbar falling under the jurisdiction of police station Dharamkund was recovered from Assam.
As per police sources, on July 3, 2014, husband of a woman hailing from village Sumbar lodged a written complaint with police station Dharamkund that his wife went missing under mysterious circumstances.
Accordingly a missing complaint was registered with police station Dharamkund, which later was converted into a case registered under FIR number 23/14 under Section 366 and 109 RPC.
In order to trace the woman, SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar constituted a team, which was headed by SHO Police Station Dharamkund Arun Kotwal.
After hectic efforts, police finally traced the woman from Guwahati, Assam, while as her kidnappers managed to give slip to police team.
The woman was handed over to family members after conducting medical examination and completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
