JAMMU, Mar 29: Pouni Chak Police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by parents with Police Post Pouni Chak stating that their minor daughter has been kidnapped by a man identified as Vishal, son of Tilak Raj, a resident of Gurdaspur Punjab.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 72/2021 under Section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the abductor. On specific inputs, a team from Police Post Pouni Chak conducted raid and rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused tried to escape from the spot but was arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Pouni Chak SI Dilawar Kumar rescued the girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
