JAMMU, July 14: Gadigarh Police recovered a kidnapped minor girl from Kapoorthala area of Punjab and arrested the abductor.
As per police sources, on July 1 this year, a complaint was lodged by a man hailing from Bhour Camp with Police Post Gadigarh stating that his minor girl went missing from his home.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 172/2021 under Section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Post Gadigarh led by Inspector Lakhvir Singh was deputed to Punjab and adjoining areas for recovery of missing girl.
The team after using human resources and technical means traced out the missing minor from Kapoorthala area of Punjab and arrested the abductor, who was identified as Sunil Kumar, son of Vijay Kumar, a resident of Bhagga Marh Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu.
The recovery of missing girl and arrest of the accused took place under guidance of SHO Satwari Inspector Deepak Jasrotia, SDPO City South Parshotam Kumar Mengi and SP South Deepak Digra.
