MENDHAR, July 7: Police recovered a minor girl kidnapped from Salwa area of tehsil Mendhar today.
A police spokesman said that the 16-year old Rubia (fake name), resident of Salwa village in Mendhar in Pooch was allegedly kidnapped by a youth hailing from Banihal area on June 30 and taken to some where in Banihal. On the complaint of parents of the girl the police registered a case FIR No. 93/13 and started investigation. Today a police party led by ASI Raqeeb Ahmed from Mendhar during raid at a house in Banihal area recovered the girl. She was being brought to Mendhar. The accused Mohd Iqbal, son of Mohd Zaman, from Khera village in Banihal has also been arrested.
