JAMMU, July 17: Khour police rescued a kidnapped girl within 24 hours and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, yesterday a complaint was filed by family members with Police Station Khour stating that a person identified as Pawan Kumar, son of Raghuvir Singh, a resident of Natyana Nai Basti had kidnapped their daughter.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 54/18 under Section 363 RPC has been registered at Khour Police Station and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
After strenuous as well as technical efforts, the kidnapped girl was rescued and accused has been arrested.
The girl was handed over to her parents after completion of legal formalities.
Police team led by SHO Khour Inspector Joginder Singh rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
