Kidnapped girl rescued from Amritsar, accused arrested

JAMMU, Sept 10: Bakshi Nagar police rescued a kidnapped girl from Amritsar and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, on August 22, a complaint was lodged by the parents of a girl hailing from Resham Garh that their daughter has been kidnapped by Vinay Sandhu (21), son of Gar Chand, a resident of Tindey, tehsil Bishnah.
Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR Number 28/15 under Section 363 RPC was registered at Bakshi Nagar police and investigation started.
The police team conducted raids at various areas and finally recovered the girl from Amritsar by tracing the call records. The kidnapper was also arrested on the spot.
Both the girl and the accused were brought to Jammu and after completing legal formalities, the girl was restored to family members.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ashwani Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of Officiating SDPO West Vivek Shekhar Sharma, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajeev Pandey.
