JAMMU, Dec 20: Bishnah police rescued a kidnapped girl within 24 hours from Srinagar and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a family members with Bishnah Police Station on December 14 stating that their daughter went missing.
Later, the family members came to know that their daughter has been kidnapped by Sultan, son of Alam Dhar Hussain and Tamore, Tehsil Vijaypur and reported the matter to police on December 18.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections was registered and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On reliable information, a team from Bishnah Police Station conducted raid in Srinagar and rescued the girl. The accused tried to escape from the spot, but the cops chased and nabbed him.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
