RAMBAN, Aug 21: Batote police rescued a kidnapped minor girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, family members of a girl lodged a complaint with police station Batote on August 3 this year stating that their daughter has been kidnapped by Bablu Kumar, son of Prem Chand, a resident of district Ramban.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 54/17 under Section 363 and 109 RPC was registered at Batote police station and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Batote police station conducted raid and rescued the kidnapped girl. The kidnapper tried to escape, but the cops arrested him.
The girl has been restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Batote Inspector Vijay Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Imtiyaz Ahmed and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
