JAMMU, July 10: Bus Stand Police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the abductor.
As per police sources, an information was received at Police Station Bus Stand from Police Station Sogam of District Kupwara that a girl and a boy had fled away from their hometown towards Jammu. A case under FIR Number 55/2021 under Sections 366, 109 and 342 IPC stands registered at Police Station Sogam in this regard.
Acting over the information, a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Deepankar Singh Manhas under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kaluand SP City Mohita Sharma rescued the kidnapped girl from BC Road and arrested the abductor, who was identified as Irshad Ahmed Dar, son of Abdul Samad.
Both were shifted to Police Station Bus Stand for further handing over to Police Station Sogam for further investigation into the case.
