DODA, Mar 31: Police rescued a kidnapped girl, while the accused managed to escape.
As per police sources, a man hailing from Gadhiyari Kulhand lodged a written complaint with Police Station Doda stating that his daughter has been kidnapped by Anar Chand, son of Hem Raj of Kulhand Doda.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR number 44/18 under Section 366 RPC was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police team raided several areas and finally rescued the kidnapped girl. However, the accused managed to escape from the spot.
The girl has been handed over to her parents after legal formalities and manhunt is going on to arrest the accused.
Police team led by SHO Doda Inspector Manjeet Singh rescued the kidnapped girl under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
