KISHTWAR, Oct 24: Police here today recovered a kidnapped girl within 24 hours and arrested her kidnapper.
On October 21, a missing report was received at Police Station Marwah regarding kidnapping of a girl from her home by one Yassir Hussain, son of Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Methwan, Marwah.
In response to this report, a case in FIR number 25 Under Section 366/109 IPC was registered at Police Station Marwah and an investigation was initiated during which SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal formed a team led by Inspector Shahnawaz Giri under the supervision of SDPO Marwah, Devindar Singh Bandral. The team worked swiftly and successfully located the kidnapped girl within 24 hours at Old Bus Stand area of Kishtwar. The accused person was arrested on the spot.
