JAMMU, Mar 14: Police traced out a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused.
As per police sources, family members of a girl hailing from Issrabad area of Sidhra lodged a complaint with police station Nagrota stating that their daughter has been kidnapped by Surinder Kumar, son of Dhan Raj, a resident of same area.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 66/16 under Section 366 and 109 RPC was registered at police station Nagrota and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, the kidnapped girl was recovered and the accused was arrested today.
The girl has been restored to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
