JAMMU, Mar 14: Ek Sath Rang Mandal today presented its 186th Monday Theatre, under Monday Theatre Series with Vijay Malla’s Nukkud ‘Manawta’ in collaboration with BLSKS at Durga Bhawan, Disco Morh, Janipur, here.
The central theme of the play describes a way to young generation as to how they can contribute to society by doing goodness and help to people who need it .
Suman is a young girl from a middle class family. She has developed a habit of helping anybody who needs it may be a child, old-aged person, sick, injured or illiterate.
One day she visits to her grandfather who is hospitalized in nearby hospital for treatment. In the hospital she observes a nurse who is on duty there. She becomes eager to notice her activities and gets inspired by the positive attitude of nurse and her manners.
She is very much impressed by the profession of nursing. Finally she decides to adopt this profession of Nursing. She conveys her ambition to her parents that she will join Nursing profession at any cost come what may.
Her parents showed resentment as her other sisters and brothers were approaching different professions. She describes and defines the role of Nurse in a society. Her sacrifice, commitment, discipline, her service to the patients, without any cast, colour or creed. She again narrates them the story nightingale and mother Teresa.
Finally, her parents are moved and convinced by her and allow her to join the profession. She is excited and thanks her parents.
