RAMBAN, June 29: Police recovered a kidnapped minor girl from district Kulgam, Kashmir, and arrested one person.
Police spokesman said that, on June 20, a complaint was lodged with Police Station Ramban, that a 17 year girl Guddi (name changed), resident of Karoal area of the Ramban district, was kidnapped by one Imtyaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Gafoor, resident of Chanderkote, during the intervening night of June 19 and 20.
After registering a case under FIR number 90/12, a team was constituted, he said, adding, that the team yesterday recovered the kidnapped girl from district Kulgam.
The girl was handed over to family members after completing legal formalities and the accused Imtyaz Ahmed was arrested, while, investigation into the case is in progress.
