LEH, June 29: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Jitendra Singh today visited Solar Colony to take stock of the progress and implementation of Prime Minister’s Package where under the flood victims of Leh district have been rehabilitated.
During his visit to the colony, the minister handed over the keys of solarized bathrooms to the beneficiaries. These bathrooms are coming up through Hindustan Prefab Limited under Corporate Social Responsibility Program and each flood affected family would get a solarized bathroom.
The Union Minister was highly impressed with the work saying that it was the result of hard work and dedicated performance of Leh Hill Council and the administration.
The Minister was accompanied by the Tourism Minister Nawang Rigzin Jora, Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Rigzin Spalbar, Deputy Commissioner Leh Tsering Angchok, SSP, Leh Vivek Gupta, Addl. DC, Tsering Morup, Addl. SP, Leh P Sonam and officers.
