POONCH, Dec 29: A kidnapped girl was recovered by Surankote police today and two accused persons were also arrested.
SP Poonch, Shamsheer Hussain told the Excelsior that 21-year-old Salima, resident of Bafliaz, who was allegedly kidnapped by two persons including a truck driver, was recovered from Fatehpur area of Thanna Mandi today. Action was taken after her father Shabir, lodged an FIR alleging that her daughter has been kidnapped.
He said a police party from Surankote Thana, acting on a specific information, conducted a raid at a house and recovered the girl today. Both the kidnappers namely, Zakir Hussain, son of Safir Ahmed of Bafliaz and truck driver Mohd Arif, son of Mohd Akbar, resident of Shahdara was also recovered. The truck has also been seized.
