KISHTWAR, Aug 3: Former minister and MLC from Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today laid stress for better health care facilities at District Hospital Kishtwar and maintained that due to non- availability of medicines at Kishtwar hospital , the poor patients were suffering badly.
Inaugurating “Smile Dental Clinic” in presence of local Jamia Masjid Immam here today, Kichloo said that with the establishment of modern dental clinic at Kishtwar, the people will get better health facility here in dental care sector. He said that it is good step that unemployed youth are making efforts to withstand on their feet and urged upon the Government to provide all possible help to the unemployed youth so that they could become self sufficient and serve the society in better way.
Interacting with the unemployed Dental Surgeons, Sajjad Kichloo told them that he had repeatedly raked up the issue of filling up of all the vacant posts of Dental Surgeons in the State at various forums including in Legislative Counsel , DDB meetings as well as at social forums . Despite repeated assurance from the Health Minister and the Government, nothing was done in this regard. He said that several posts of doctors and para- medical staff are vacant in Kishtwar district including District Hospital Kishtwar. The people are being forced to purchase the medicines from private shops due to non availability of medicines in Kishtwar Hospitals.
The proprietor of “Smile Dental Clinic” Dr Aqib Lone said that the system installed in his newly opened clinic is the latest technology which is hardly available in couple of shops at Jammu. He said that Digital X- Rays of patients will be made on spot free of cost, the copy of which could easily be forwarded to patients through Whatsapp or email.
While speaking in yet another function at Kishtwar in presence of Ex-MLA Qazi Jalal-ud-Din, Kichloo slammed PDP-BJP Government for its failure in mitigating the problems faced by the people of Kishtwar. He said that the Coalition Government failed to carry forward the developmental activities in district Kishtwar which was started during National Conference Govt. He said that employees of lower class are being harassed not only by the Government , but also by the party workers of ruling PDP and BJP and called for an end to atmosphere of uncertainty in the State .
