JAMMU: The Army has announced financial assistance of Rs one lakh each to the kin of three labourers killed and Rs 25,000 to the injured in the dastardly attack by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists on the unarmed civilian persons at the GREF camp of Battal in Akhnoor Sector.
Heavily armed terrorists had attacked the Battal GREF camp, in the wee hours of January 9. The Chief of Army Staff, while condemning the cowardly terror attack, assured that the Pakistan-sponsored terrorists would not be permitted to disturb the peace and tranquility in J&K.
He extended condolences on behalf of the Army to the victims and their families. (AGENCIES)
