SRINAGAR, Jan 27: J&K Housing Board has suspended its Khilafwarzi Inspector namely Ghulam Ahmed Ganie for his alleged involvement in the illegal sale of migrant properties in Government Housing Colonies, Kashmir.
In a peculiar case astonishingly the Khilafwarzi Inspector has facilitated illegal sale of migrant property in Bagh-i-Mehtab Housing Colony, Kashmir without the consent or knowledge of the real owner.
In the court of law, for registration of documents, the concerned Khilafwarzi Inspector has staged a well knit conspiracy and a fake person has impersonated for real owner.
As enquiry in the matter was initiated by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on the basis of various complaints into the fraudulent activities done by him in connection with illegal sale and purchase of plots and land of migrants in the Housing Colonies administered by the J&K Housing Board.
In the enquiry report conducted by the Vice Chairman, Srinagar Development Authority involvement of Khilafwarzi Inspector, namely Ghulam Ahmed Ganie with some private persons in these illegal transactions has been established. Considering the gravity of the matter, the J&K Housing Board has referred the case to the Crime Branch for in-depth investigation to expose the gamut of these illegal and fraudulent transactions and to register FIR against the erring officials and private persons involved so that the culprits are booked and such practices are put to end.
As per inquiry report there might be similar cases which are neither reported nor could be traced and thus there is every possibility that more Migrant Properties/Plots in the Government colonies might have changed hands through similar type of illegal transactions without the consent off the real owner. The J&K Housing Board has requested all the migrant allottees of the J&K Housing Board to keep proper check on their lawful properties in the Housing Colonies in Kashmir and in case of any suspicious thing reported, the office of the Managing Director, J&K Housing Board be intimated.
