JAMMU, Nov 20: MP Rajya Sabha, Gulam Ali Khatana today inaugurated “City Hospital”, Gulmarg colony at Bathindi near here which was closed during COVID period. On the occasion a free medical camp was also organised at in the hospital by owner and promoters of hospital including Dr Madhu Khullar, Asim Jan and Nithlesh Tikoo respectively.
Free Eye checkup camp was organised in association with Dr KD Singh of KD Multispeciality Hospital. On the occasion MP Ghulam Ali Khatna said that we will establish such medical camps in Jammu which can help poor and needy people.
Further Asim Jan told media that City Hospital Bathindi Jammu services will be available 24 hours for poor and needy people and in future free medical camps will be organized for people as Tribals are mostly living in Bathindi area. Dr Saleem -ul-Rehman Director General Health services, Dr Madhu Khullar, Dr Shahid Mughal, Dr KD Singh and team, Dr Ravinder Singh Ghai, Dr Vinod Sharma were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile a large number of delegations of Gujjar-Bakkerwal community, seasonal teachers, youth and people from different walks of life from Doda, Rajouri, Poonch and Jammu today called on Khatana and listed their issues. The issues included road connectivity, implementation of Forest Rights Act, regularization of seasonal teachers and others.
Khatana said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has a special place for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and Central Government is extending every possible help to the J&K Union Territory Government to mitigate the problems of the common masses.
He said that all the Government schemes are being implemented to ameliorate the lot of the people of JKUT and if there is any gap between the officers at the helm of affairs and common people he would become a bridge between administration and the people.
Khatana said that very soon he would be meeting LG Manoj Sinha and would list the demands raised by them and seek their redressal.
Earlier, seasonal teachers demanded that they be brought under the control of Tribal Affairs Department and their service be regularized.
Another delegation alleged the Forest Rights Act was not being implemented in right earnest. Their files have been pending with the concerned officers and no decision is being taken by the Department.
