Khatana asks bureaucrats to deliver on ground

BARAMULLA, Mar 4: MP Rajya Sabha and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Gulam Ali Khatana today delivered a tough message to the administration directing them to deliver on ground and serve the last man in the row.
Addressing a largely attended ST convention at Katnawali Gohan in district Baramulla, Gulam Ali Khatana said that some bureaucrats are still living in the pre-2019 and are still serving the interests of their masters from NC, Congress and PDP enjoying in the cozy offices while public is suffering. He said that those bureaucrats should shun their loyalty to the old masters as their era has ended and now Modi era of accountability, transparency and delivery has started and they should work on the ground for welfare of the common masses.
Elaborating on the path breaking initiatives of PM Narendra Modi led Government, Gulam Ali Khatana said that now the era of Central Government sending Rs. 100 and Rs. 10 reaching on ground has ended, PRIs directly receive the grants for development and the same is utilized for the developmental schemes. The Ayushman Bharat Scheme has provided access to the common man for best medical treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh, the railway project from Jammu to Kashmir is nearing completion, tourists footfall has touched 1.70 crore in the UT, besides various other developmental schemes have been extended to the J&K.
Appreciating the LG administration led by Manoj Sinha, he said that anti-encroachment drive against the rich and powerful has sent a chill down the spines of rich and powerful, who looted the erstwhile State for last seven decades. He said that LG, Manoj Sinha time and again assured the public that poor and marginalized sections won’t be touched and rich and influential won’t be spared.
Khatana said that FRA act has been fully implemented in the UT and he would request the LG administration to appoint a dedicated official at district, SDM, Tehsil level to receive and process the cases under FRA Act.
Prominent among others who participated in the meeting included Mohammad Anwar Khan, BJP Prabhari, Baramulla Parliamentary constituency,  Roshan Choudhary, president BJP ST Morcha, Dr. Khurshid Ahmed, Gulzar Ahmed Chechi, Farooq Ahmed, Dr. Shabir Khatana, Fayaz Ahmed Khatana, Farooq Ahmed Malik, Ashiq Hussain, Ghulam Mohammad Khan, Abdul Rehman Thikri and Shamsul Mehr.
Later MP Khatana chaired a meeting of the district administration.
