Khanyar man dies in Leh accident, 2 more bodies recovered

SRINAGAR, July 21: A man from Khanyar, Srinagar has died in Leh after his cab met with an accident in Leh, police said, while two more bodies have been recovered a week after vehicle carrying seven passengers slipped into Suru river.
A police spokesman said Mohammad Amin Bhat son of Ali Mohammad Bhat of Khanyar, Srinagar died when his Scorpio vehicle JK01G/3264 met with an accident near Khalsi. He died on the spot, the spokesman said.
The spokesman said they recovered two more bodies from Sindh nallah a week after the ill-fated car that meet with an accident at Hung Park Sonamarg on 14th this month.
The bodies have been identified as that of Ashish Kumar son of Ashok Kumar of Delhi, and Rajinder Kumar son of Dheen Sain of New Jawahar Nagar, Amritsar. Both the bodies have been kept in mortuary of PHC Sonamarg for further legal formalities.
In another accident, a Xylo vehicle JK01A-2404 struck with Innova vehicle JK01-9004 at T-crossing near Centaur Hotel in Nishat, resulting in injuries to some passengers boarding in the Xylo vehicle
All the injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment, the spokesman said, adding police has registered cases in these accidents.
