JAMMU, Feb 17: Senior BJP leader and Chairman Health and Sanitation Committee of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Arun Khanna along with a team of JMC officials and officers here today visited Ward number 30, 31 and 32 and gave on spot instructions for solving the issues raised by Councillors of these Wards.
The Concillors raised issues of shortage of Safai Karamcharis and demanded more autos for door-to-door garbage collection.
Satpal Karlupia, Councillor of Ward 32 raised the issue of choking of sewerage pipes at some places in his Ward and Chairman Khanna instructed the accompanying officers to lay new pipes.
In Ward number 31, Councillor Sucha Singh demanded cleansing and de-silting of Nallah and some work of Jal Shakti Department (JSD) while in Ward number 30, more autos for garbage lifting were demanded.
Khanna gave directions for solutions to the issues raised by the Councillors.
Those who accompanied JMC Chairman, Arun Khanna were officers and officials from UEED, JMC Health Officer, Dr. Vinod Sharma, Transport Officer, Sanjeev Sharma, JSD officers, Sanitary Inspectors and Supervisors of JMC and social activist Sanjeev Panda.
