JAMMU, June 20: Led by BJP leader of Legislative party, Ashok Khajuria, hundreds of party activists were court arrested under party’s nationwide “Jail Bharo Andolan” on the fourth day here today demanding resignation of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh who is heading the scam tainted UPA Government at Centre.
Earlier BJP activists held a massive protest against Dr. Manmohan Singh. The programme was organized by BJP Kathua district President Vijay Sharma.
Ashok Khajuria, while addressing the party activists, said that the Manmohan Singh led Government at the Centre has beaten all the records of mis-governance and corruption. UPA has failed to come up to the expectations of the masses as the nation has witnessed price-rise, unemployment, weak foreign policy and appeasement of anti-national elements. The only achievement of this Government has been that scam after scam is surfacing each passing day and misuse of premier investigating agency like CBI to give clean-chit to the corrupt ministers, bureaucrats and blue-eyed people close to the Congress leaders.
Ashok Khajuria said that in view of such high corruption and total mis-governance, Dr Manmohan Singh has lost the faith of the people and he should immediately resign on moral grounds. He said that the BJP will continue to agitate against the Congress-led UPA till it is thrown out.
BJP Senior leader Th Ranjit Singh said that enough is enough as the people of the country are fed up with the mis-governance of Manmohan Singh and want its ouster as soon as possible.
