JAMMU, Dec 15: BJP Legislative Party leader and MLA Jammu East, Ashok Khajuria today laid the foundation stone of Kashyap Community Bhawan at Moti Bazaar here at a function organised by All J&K Kashyap Rajput Sabha.
The function was presided by Murari Lal Balgotra, president of the Sabha, Madan Lal Dogra, ex president of the Sabha was also present on the occasion.
President of the Sabha gave the background of the Sabha which he said was established in 1958 and land for it was allotted by then Prime Minister of the State, Bakshi Ghulam Mohammed.
The funds for the community hall were released by Mr Khajuria from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Mr Khajuria on the occasion assured full support in the construction of community hall. He said during his rally on December 1, BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has raised the issue of fundamental and constitutional rights of OBCs and assured the community that BJP will raise the issue in coming Assembly session also.
Gopal Krishan Sanotra, general secretary of the Sabha, Jeet Raj Mehra, vice president, Prof B L Bhardwaj, Muni Lal Badan, Anoop Kumar, Purshotam Kumar and others were present in the function.
