Key sectors to be given priority by Government: Kavinder

JAMMU, Feb 12: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta, reiterated his commitment to ensure overall development of Jammu & Kashmir.
“BJP Government functioning with a hard-headed approach to recompense the core issues of the common masses” said Gupta after kick starting the lane & drain work in Ward – 52, to be executed at the estimated cost of Rs 9.5 lakh by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Gupta emphasized on infrastructural development of inner areas for holistic development of all wards falling under JMC.
He reiterated that Government has initiated several projects and priority will be given to key sectors like road communication, drinking water, education, health care, irrigation and sports, with special focus on deprived areas to give a boost to the socio-economic development of the J&K. “Union Government is working with a pragmatic approach to redress the core issues of the common masses”, Gupta maintained.
Highlighting various development works, Gupta said that various works being executed at different places under comprehensive development plan which has been formulated to provide upgraded infrastructural facilities to the people of J&K. He sought active participation from the public for implementing the development programs at the ground level.
Highlighting the development initiatives taken by him as a representative of the constituency, he said that several upgradation and renovation projects have been started in the constituency during the last five years. He said that delivering good governance with pragmatic approach at the doorsteps of the people is his top priority. On being apprised of the problems pertaining to damaged roads, water supply, electricity and other basic amenities and developmental needs by locals of Ward-52, he said the project of the construction of concrete drains has already been approved and works at many places has been either completed or shall be started soon.
Locals also put forth some demands to which Gupta assured them that their other genuine concerns would be looked into on priority and said that he will take up matter with concerned officials to take adequate measures to mitigate the problems of the locals in a time bound manner. Gupta was accompanied by Vinay Gupta, Neena Gupta, Kulbir Charak, Balwan Singh, Amit Sharma, Kamlesh and Poonam Gupta among others.
