NEW DELHI, Feb 12: Delhi Chief Minister-elect Arvind Kejriwal met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his 7-Race Course Road residence this morning in an effort to build bridges of understanding before formally taking over as the Chief Minister.
Accompanied by his close confidante and associate Manish Sisodia, Mr Kejriwal presented a bouquet to the Prime Minister and invited him to attend his oath-taking ceremony on February 14.
Nothing much was discussed during the brief 20-minute meeting but it was described as a “courtesy call” on the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister had called up Mr Kejriwal immediately after trends showed that the Aam Aadmi Party leader was winning the elections. (UNI)
