KEEWA delegation calls on MD PDC

SRINAGAR, Sept 21: A delegation of Kashmir Electrical Employees and Workers Association (KEEWA) led by Nazir Ahmed Magrey its president called on Managing Director (MD),Power Development Corporation (PDC), Basharat Ahmed Dar and discussed various issues of employees with him.
The other members of delegation included general secretary LPEF, Javid Shah, its chief organizer, Mohammed Shaban. They demanded filling up of vacant posts in PDC, regularization of daily wagers and casual laborers, framing of norms in PDC, providing of facilities to employees especially working on canal beats, compensation to the employees who die while performing Government duty.
Meanwhile chief patron Pensioners and Senior Citizens Welfare Association Mir Ghulam Rasool has urged the Government to settle the problems of the employees of PDC. He while urging the working class to unite cautioned them against the imperialist forces and condemned the blasphemous act of US. He also criticized the entry of FDI in India and termed it a grave threat to working class.
