KEEWA delegation calls on MD PDC

SRINAGAR, June 30: A delegation of Kashmir Electrical Employees and Workers Association (KEEWA) called on Managing Director Power Development Corporation (PDC), Srinagar and submitted a memorandum to him highlighting their demands. The delegation was led by Nazir Ahmed Magrey its president.
The delegation demanded settlement of pension cases of PDC employees who have attained age of superannuation since 2012 and their cases of pension are still pending in respective offices. They have not been paid pension till date due to which they are facing many hardships.
The delegation also demanded formation of rules for regularization and other norms in PDC. It said that due to non formation of rules the employees of PDC are deprived of amenities and facilities available to employees of other departments, securing of PDC projects , land and buildings, regularization of daily wagers and contractual employees, release of Hardship Allowance, implementation of SRO 59, sanction of executive and technical posts for USHP-II Kangan Division and posting of officers in the PDC divisions where the posts are lying vacant so that the functioning of the Department does not suffer.
The other members of the delegation included Mohammed Shaban Bhat, Haji Manzoor Ahmed, Mehraj-ud-Din Mir, Imtiyaz Ahmed , Abdul Rashid, Mohammed Latif Mir, Nassir Ahmed, Abait Ali and Mushtaq Ahmed.
