LOS ANGELES, Dec 20: Actor Laurence Fishburne will join his “Matrix” co-star Keane Reeves in the upcoming second installment of the “John Wick” movie franchise.
Fishburne will make a cameo appearance in the sequel to 2014’s “John Wick”, his representative has confirmed, reported Aceshowbiz.
The 54-year-old actor was spotted in Brooklyn earlier this week while shooting some scenes for the film. The outfit he wore seemingly indicated that he is playing a homeless man.
Fishburne appears to have some dialogues in the movie with Reeves as Fishburne was spotted talking to him.
Reeves also posted some photos on his Twitter account to announce the news. He uploaded a picture of himself and Fishburne as Neo and Morpheus (their characters in ‘Matrix) as well as the new set picture.
“Re-united #JohnWick2,” Reeves, 51, captioned the photo.
Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo and Ian McShane are reprising their respective roles. Oscar-winning composer Common is playing a villainous character along with Peter Stormare.
They are joined in the cast by Ruby Rose, Tom Sadowski, Riccardo Scamarcio and Lance Reddick. Chad Stahelski is returning to helm the sequel, though he is not joined by David Leitch this time around.
Derek Kolstad has written the script. Official release date has yet to be announced, but the movie is expected to arrive in the US in 2017. (PTI)
