JAMMU, Nov 15: The Kalamkari Centre Society (KCS) held a health & wellness initiative under its community outreach project “Anant Gram”.
It was conducted at its village centre in Panjgrain, Jammu under the expertise and guidance of Dr Vinay Bhagat and Dr Sunita Attri.
The initiative was inaugurated by KCS’s Patron, Purnima Chaudhri along with the Members of the Society and the village.
Free medical consultation, health awareness interaction and distribution of medicines and vitamins were sponsored by the Society.
The Society was founded by Purnima and Umang Sagar Chaudhri in 1983 and is continuing to bring improved social impact amongst the rural communities.
KCS initiated its Anant Gram outreach project in 2021. Natasha Chaudhri and the team have been successfully working towards entrepreneurial training for women and fair and equal opportunity for village students. They have set up an effective learning centre with academic and extracurricular support, and a mobile library for the young children. As a part of its wellness program, KCS has implemented many initiatives for creating health, nutrition and personal hygiene awareness for the village communities.
